Facebook hosts a huge amount of video — interviews, livestreams, reels, and page posts — and most of it has no usable transcript. If the video is public, VTS can turn it into text the same way it handles YouTube.
On desktop, click the video's timestamp or the three-dot menu → Copy link. On mobile, use Share → Copy link. Reels work too.
Drop the link into the input on the homepage. VTS shows the estimated cost before anything is charged.
Plain text, timestamped, or SRT. The job runs in the background and lands in your dashboard.
If the link won't process
The most common reason is visibility. VTS can only reach public videos — private profiles, friends-only posts, and some group videos are blocked from automated access. If a link fails:
- Confirm the post is public (open it in a private browser window — if you can't see it logged out, neither can VTS)
- Otherwise, download the video and upload the file directly; VTS accepts common formats up to 2,048 MB
Tip: Reels and livestream replays often have background music or noise. A short test clip tells you in seconds whether the speech is clean enough for a good transcript.
Paste any public link or upload a file and get a clean transcript in minutes. First 3 clips every month are on us — no card required.
